Shipping & returns

Shipping

Every painting ships to the United States or Canada, insured and tracked, and packed with corner protection. Shipping is calculated at checkout. You'll get an email with tracking as soon as your piece is on its way.

Returns

If a painting isn't right for you, you can return it within 14 days of delivery. Email info@artbymccarthy.com first so we know it's coming, then send it back in its original packing, insured. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, and the original shipping charge isn't refunded. Once the piece arrives back in the condition it left, you'll be refunded the price of the painting, including any sales tax, to the card you paid with.

Commissioned work is made for you alone, so it can't be returned.

Damage in transit

If a piece arrives damaged, please email within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the painting and the packing, and keep the packing. Every shipment is insured, and we'll make it right with a repair or a full refund.

Copyright

Buying an original gives you the painting, not the right to reproduce it. Copyright in every work stays with Lisa McCarthy. You're welcome to share photos of it hanging in your home.

Privacy

What we collect

Only what you give us: your name and email when you send a message or an enquiry; your email when you sign up to hear about new work; and, when you buy, your name, email and shipping address so the painting can reach you.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this site. Stripe's own privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

How it's used

To ship your order, answer your messages, and, if you asked, tell you about new work. We never sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with anyone except the services that make the shop work: Stripe for payments, and the companies that host this site and deliver its email.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets one cookie, which keeps your cart and checkout working. Visits are counted with a privacy-friendly tool that sets no cookies and doesn't identify you. Stripe's payment form may set its own cookies to help prevent fraud.

How long it's kept

Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Your sign-up stays until you ask to be removed.

Your choices

To stop new-work emails, or to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email info@artbymccarthy.com and it will be done.
