Commissions
A commission is not a copy of something already on the wall. It starts where the rest of the work starts — a colour you keep coming back to, a place that mattered to you, the light in the room it is going to hang in.
Tell me the size, the wall, and roughly what you have in mind. A photograph of the room is worth more than any description, and saying what you do not want is just as useful as saying what you do. I will come back with a price and a timeline before anything is committed.
Price depends on scale and on how much building a piece takes; the smallest are close to what the work on this site sells for, and larger pieces are quoted individually. Framing and shipping are quoted with it, not added afterwards.
Expect six to ten weeks. You will see it in progress at least twice — early, while the direction can still change, and again before it is called finished.
Half on agreeing the quote, half on completion. If the finished piece is not right, you are under no obligation to take it.
